More about myself

My name is Tristan Meers (2003), and I am a Belgian freelance photographer and visual artist. I have been dedicated to photography for the past eight years and am currently in my master's year of photography. My work revolves around sports, urbanization, and more, combining a documentary approach with a strong, structured visual language.

From an early age, I developed a passion for capturing the world through a lens. After earning a diploma in Audiovisual Arts from Atlas College Genk, I pursued a Master of Visual Arts in Photography at LUCA School of Arts, C-mine.

During my internship with the media team at OH Leuven, I discovered my passion for sports photography.

My series La Maison d'en Face won first prize in the night photography category at the International Photography Awards in 2023 and secured second place at De Donkere Kamer #30. The series was exhibited internationally in cities such as New York, Shenzhen, Ostuni, Budapest, Kashan, and Athens, as well as at LUCA School of Arts.

My series Genck Artificiel was featured in the ‘5+5‘ exhibition at Z33, Hasselt.
